FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What makes KC FitnessTherapy different?

My goal as a fitness coach is to help you feel stronger, decrease pain and improve the quality of your physical health and well-being. While many personal trainers focus primarily on helping people learn how to do exercises, lose weight or get tone, my focus will be on strengthening your body at its core, allowing you to live a more active pain-free life and accomplish your fitness pursuits. That being said, your overall physique will likely change along the way :)

Is KC FitnessTherapy fitness training right for me?

KC FitnessTherapy is for individuals looking for a fitness program rooted in holistic health and wellness. It is for those who are currently active or not active at all. It is a way to condition the body to be able to do the tasks and activities you are asking it to do. This could be sitting at a desk for multiple hours of the day or running a marathon. Your workout, your goals, your results.

What type of home fitness equipment do I need?

What will the first session look like?

During our first session we will discuss your health history and fitness goals. We will look at posture, mobility, balance, muscle weakness and symptoms or discomfort you may be experiencing in the body. We will do a basic workout assessment at the end that will get your HR up and give you an idea of your current fitness level.

Where are sessions held?

While no home equipment is required to begin sessions, any equipment you already own is a plus! As we develop your program, certain pieces of equipment may be suggested to enhance our sessions and provide diversity to workouts. Gym spaces at your apartment center or in your subdivision are also excellent!

What ages do you train?

Sessions take place virtually, in-home, at office, or outdoors, making it both highly convenient and time-efficient.

Ages 12-80+ will benefit from training sessions. Sessions are specifically designed based on your development, conditioning, and age.

What is assisted stretching?

Assisted hands-on stretching involves me positioning, stabilizing, and isolating certain muscles to enhance range of motion, relieve stiffness and soreness and create better blood flow in the joints and ligaments.

What kind of training do you do?

Athletic strength & conditioning, Core-focused training, mobility and stability of joints, functional fitness, balance training, weightlifting, strength training, combination of steady state cardio and HIT, speed, agility, and quickness training.
